About Hazy

Hazy is the dog of my life. Everyone who has met her knows how special she is and how strong the bond between us is. I call her my Patronus, Daemon, or Soul Mate. We are inseparable, she accompanies me absolutely everywhere – at work, in the restaurant and on vacation. She copes well in all conditions and easily adapts to different situations. She fits very well into the role of a city dog. She walks around the estate without a leash every day, because she simply doesn’t need it, and all the neighbors love Hazy for her charming disposition. Hazy keeps an eye on me, has excellent recall and is simply a very well-behaved and polite dog.

In everyday life, she is quite soft and disciplined, but not excessively. All you have to do is politely ask her not to do something and she will immediately stop, but she won’t go out. Communication with her is really easy and pleasant. Hazy understands a lot, but we also pay a lot of attention to being readable for her. She is sensitive to the mood of the guide and very empathetic. When she feels that someone needs support because, for example, they shed a tear at a movie, she immediately comes and snuggles up with her tiny body. She is a very delicate and loving creature. At home, she is absolutely well-behaved and quiet, although it happens that she steals food left within her reach when she is left alone at home.

She is completely different at work – she has a huge drive, is tough and can work very well under pressure imposed on her. She easily tolerates many repetitions, never goes out and does not give up training when something does not work out for us. She will repeat the exercise until it works, without any drop in mood. At work, she gives 120% of herself. She tries, thinks and draws conclusions. It doesn’t take many sessions and repetitions for her to learn something. After a few repetitions of something completely new to her during one training session, she will be doing it correctly in a moment. Hazy is a bitch with a huge will to please, with very good motivation. She is more motivated by play than food, but this does not have a major impact on working with her, because the work itself and the opportunity to cooperate with a human motivate her the most.

Hazy has a perfect innate retrieve. From the first moments in our home, she beautifully brought us toys, we never had to teach her that. She has a very fast return with the retrieve, which translates very positively into frisbee, which we train as part of fun and variety.

She does not react to sounds – she is not afraid of the noise of firecrackers, it is basically hard to scare her.

In agility, there is no problem with detaching her from the guide, she responds perfectly to verbal cues, she is very confident. Physically, she is a very durable, fast, flexible and wonderfully moving dog. She turns very tightly, moves very quickly and smoothly. From the very beginning, she was well coordinated, she also never had a problem with height. She is very sensitive to the movement of the guide, which requires very thoughtful handling. Training with her is a great pleasure.

Since she was a puppy, she was a very well-behaved creature. She never had a problem with calming down – she has a perfect on/off. She never destroyed things, there was no problem with leaving her in the cage but there was also no need to close her. She never had a problem with chasing/herding various objects. When she was little, she paid attention to rolling balls, but it was very quick and easy to eliminate. She does not chase other animals, more than once a deer jumped out on the road, right in front of Hazy’s nose and did not arouse any emotions in her. Since she joined our family, she had great body awareness and was very well coordinated. She quickly learned to jump on the couch, as well as on countertops and windowsills. She does it from the spot, just like a cat.

She is a very cheerful, confident and optimistic creature. She loves people, and the feeling is mutual. She is a favorite of the neighbors and, like it or not, her rich social life often keeps us on walks longer than it should. At first, she was distant to children and was a little afraid of them, but over time the problem solved itself and she started treating them the same as adults. She has a cool/indifferent attitude towards dogs. She does not like imposing dogs – she can chase away an intrusive dog. She really doesn’t like it when strange dogs cross her comfort zone. With the rest of our dogs, she gets along great, there are no conflicts on this plane. She often initiates play with them.

From the very beginning, she placed a lot of trust in the guide. When she gets scared or the situation overwhelms her, she seeks support in her human and trusts that we will help her get out of a difficult situation. We have nurtured this trait in her a lot.
